Venn ("we", "us", or "our") is a pre-launch flatmate matching service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. We've kept this as plain and honest as possible.

1. What we collect

Right now, Venn is in waitlist-only mode. The only information we collect is:

• Your email address — when you join the waitlist via our website.

We do not collect your name, phone number, location, or any other personal data at this stage unless you contact us directly.

2. How we use your information

We use your email solely to:

• Confirm your place on the Venn waitlist.
• Notify you when Venn launches or when early access opens in your city.
• Occasionally share product updates if we believe they're relevant to you.

We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data storage

Waitlist emails are stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider based in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes.

4. Cookies

We use a single item of browser local storage (venn_waitlist) to remember that you've already joined the waitlist, so we don't show you the form again. No tracking cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts that profile you.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — ask us what data we hold about you.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your email from our waitlist at any time.
• Correction — ask us to correct any inaccurate data.

6. Data retention

We'll keep your email until you ask us to remove it, or until 12 months after Venn has launched — whichever comes first. After that, waitlist data is deleted.

7. Children

Venn is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted their email, contact us and we'll remove it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We may also notify waitlist members by email for significant changes.
